Kuvianattuvik Community Centre
The Kuvianattuvik Community Centre, completed in 2014, is used for both public and private events. The building includes a boardroom, offices, a public sewing room, a commercial kitchen, storage areas, walk in freezer, a large open space, a mezzanine and washrooms.
The annual festivals' opening, closing and community feasts are hosted here. The community centre also is the gathering place for DHSD's Christmas feast, Recreation's Halloween and Christmas events, men's and women's dart nights, square dances, drum dancing practices, public meetings and information sessions.
The sewing room is an asset to our many wonderful and talented craft producers.
The walk-in freezer serves our community with the "community freezer" program. It has become a staple in many of Rigolet's households.
The Kuvianattuvik Community Centre is rented for private events like weddings.
For information on booking your next event, please check out "Rental Rates" under the "Government" tab! To book, please call the Rigolet Inuit Community Government 709-947-3382/3379.
The Native Spirit Youth Centre (NSYC) is housed within the community centre. NSYC offers after school and evening programs up to grade twelve. To contact the Native Spirit Youth Centre, please call 709-947-3256.
The Tourism office is also housed in the community centre. To contact the Tourism Coordinator, please call 709-947-3258.
