In August 2010, the My Word: Storytelling and Digital Media Lab created and hosted a summer camp at the beautiful Double Mer cabins. This camp brought together youth and Elders from Nain, Hopedale, Postville, Makkovik and Rigolet for five days of storytelling, culture-sharing, hunting, fishing, crafts and traditional activities. During this camp, youth and Elders partnered together to make collaborative digital stories. Comprised of video clips, music, personal photographs from years gone by and newly-taken photographs at the camp, these stories stand as a testament to life in Nunatsiavut, then and now.
